Description
Homogeneous mass of dark gray with a brown tint with a specific smell of the constituent components.
Composition
1 g of the preparation contains active ingredients:
zinc oxide – 100 mg;
sulfur – 100 mg;
salicylic acid – 100 mg;
birch tar – 50 mg.
Excipients: beeswax, sunflower oil.
Pharmacological properties
ATCvet QD10, dermatological veterinary drugs (QD10AX30, various drug combinations)
The drug has a pronounced acaricidal and fungicidal effect, exhibits antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, astringent properties, promotes tissue regeneration, which is due to the combination of active ingredients that make up the drug (zinc oxide, sulfur, salicylic acid, birch tar). The components of the drug penetrate into the upper layers of the skin, destroying ectoparasites. An elastic film forms on the skin surface, which accelerates the healing process.
The drug is low-toxic for warm-blooded animals, does not exhibit irritating and sensitizing effects.
Usage
Treatment of cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, fur animals, rabbits, poultry with trichophytosis (ringworm), eczema, dermatitis and other skin lesions; lesions of hooves with necrobacteriosis, hoof rot in sheep; with sarcoptic mange (scab), demodectic mange, poultry cnemidocoptosis.
Dosage
The drug is applied in a thin layer to the affected area of the skin and 2-4 cm around it without first removing the crusts and clipping the hair; while it is lightly rubbed into the skin. The affected areas are treated 1-2 times a day until the crusts will be separated. As a rule, after 7-10 days, the affected areas are freed from the crusts and hair growth is observed on them. 10 days after the start of treatment, control microscopic examinations of scrapings are performed. If the causative agents of the disease are identified, the treatment is repeated.
